voltage of a USB socket? and the wattage? my fan is 12v 3.6 watts

I had this problem way back with my Lombard G3. I ended up getting an
Intercooloer from Macimports.com. It's worked well for me on every USB
equipped laptop since. Basically, it's a USB powered fan built into a
nice angled platform. I've still got it and I use it when the TiBook

I got mine last week, and I really, really hate to say it, but it gets
too hot. Amazingly hot! The fan really isn't all that loud, but it
doesn't seem to cool it down much either. The heat is mostly on the
left side of the book, and I don't know what makes it better or worse,
but it does see

I have been lurking around this list for a few days now since I would like
to trade my iBook (late November 2001) for a new 12'' PowerBook.
As I heard there is a heat issue with the new machine - the thingie gets as
hot as 80 centigrades.
What are your experiences?
