I was going to upgrade my HD to a 20GB 5400RPM IBM TravelStar but Other World Computing was out of stock. I got impatient and went with with 30GB 4200RPM, was this a mistake? I'm hoping to get my Lombard up to speed to at least work iMovie and maybe Final Cut Pro. I don't expect it to cruise

Hello all, This is my first query to this group, though I've been on the powercomputing list for a while. Thanks in advance for any advice you might offer. Just got a G3 Lombard via ebay (no manual), plugged it in to check it out and discovered that the battery indicator next to the clock has

1) Sounds like a dead battery all right... but before throwing it out, try Apple's Battery Reset utility. It might not be completely dead, but only partially dead and revivable. BTI sells decent replacement batteries, but like all laptop LiIon batteries, they are expensive. 2) I suggest 320MB
