I have a powerbook with OS X, but I prefer to use my old
i-Mac with OS 9.1. Both Netscape browsers keep dropping
the web. I use Netscape 4.74 for web browsing and 7.0 for
e-mail. Why both ? 7.0 won't work in Navigator, it just shows
a blank screen or quits on me. If I click on a link in an
e-mail
Is there a browser out there that I can download to work with my OS 9.1 that
will cooperate. Then I'll only use 4.74 for web construction.

I use Mozilla 1.2, but that's just me. It's been rock-solid on my
Lombard, and I use Eudora Lite for my email, but
Try iCab. http://www.icab.de There's a couple of different versions
available, but both should work under 9. iCab is still a beta, but
it's pretty stable for all that. I've been using it since OS 7.6.1

Thank you, just a while ago I downloaded icab. It seems to work OK.
It's been a while since I've had to use a mail program compliant with
a browser--between Gmail and using PINE on my ISP (yup, pure text--no
virii that way. :) ), I haven't had the need. But when I did, I
preferred Eudora--clean, easy to navigate and set up. Mac friendly,
no holes like Outlook

Why only one?. I use the advertising version and have three. It's only a
small 2X2 box after all.
I've only got a real need for one email account, and the advertising
annoys me, so I just went Lite and stripped out some features for
flexibility.l

Makes sense to me. I don't mind the ads and I like having
