Hey guys
Thank you for the replies. This problem started after I dissembled the
unit to paint the case, after putting it back together apparently a
piece of the foil from the bottom case became curled under the sound
card shorting it sometimes. I found it this afternoon when I took it
apart
Well, that makes me feel really good, Gary. Apparently, some educated guessing
gave you the motivation to tear into the Wallstreet. However, if you had
mentioned that you had early disassembled the case, I would definitely have
asked you about a misplaced part, shield or other obstruction.
Hi all
I have a wallstreet that has developed a problem It boots ok and long as
you don't touch the screen everything is fine but if I touch or move the
screen the whole thing turns off. Like throwing a switch it just cuts
off.
Please help

A mis-seated video cable ?
Most likely.
This little beast has been the cause of more than one Wallstreet being
tossed into the bit bucket.

What size LCD screen do you have
Per others, a mis-seated video cable ~appears~ to be the problem, but would
that
cause the system to lose power? I don't know the answer to that, but am just
asking. My experience as a ham operator (for about 25 years now) leads me to
opine that it sounds like something is shorting to ground
