I had the same problem, only I owned the Palm lll and purchased a new Ibook. I liked the Palm lll and did not want to get another pda at this time. You will need a USB to serial adapter and the serial cable (either the small travel one, or the dock station). I tried a low cost adapter from Sewell

I just purchased a refurbished Palm III. It works like new except it came with no manuals and no cables. The manuals are not a problem but I would like a cable so I can backup its memory to my iBook periodically. The only cable I can find is $50 CND at Staples. There must be a cheaper option. The
