Try changing your baud rate. I had syncing problems with a beige
G3/333, OS9.2.2, latest desktop, Palm VIIx. I had to clockit down from
as fast as possible to 57600 baud.

Sounds like a variation of a common problem...
open the HotSync Manager, turn off the Sync, reset the connection drop
down, and then turn
