If you can get close to 3 hours you are doing better than me. I get 2:15 to 2:30 - - - I use airport and it is always on. If I turn it off I get an extra 10 minutes or so. Similar situation here. The battery life has been somewhat disappointing, even though it's not such a big problem for me

On my iBook G4 I can get (bluetooth on, airport on and connetced to the home network) 3 hrs pretty easisly. Never gone over 2 hrs with the Aluminium. I guess the biggest difference is on the display. Ben If you can get close to 3 hours you are doing better than me. I get 2:15 to 2:30 - - - I use

The quoted battery life is pretty optimistic. If you dim your screen, set processor speed to reduced, turn AirPort and Bluetooth off, don't use any USB or FireWire devices, don't use an external monitor, and set the hard drive to spin down when possible, you might be able to make the supposed
