So my 6 month old powerbook has its third strike, and Apple takes it and orders me a new one. The new one is not on a customs hold in Indianapolis, along with several hundred items... Ever hear of this before?? Fedex says its a problem from the manufacturer in China's forms, and Apple wont tell me

I would have thought that Apple would not only have been responsible for all the custom details, but would have cleared everything prior to the shipment hitting the shores. And I always thought these sort of problems corpped up while still in port on the Coast, not in the middle of Indiana!

factories in Shanghai and Taiwan, as individual shipments. They likely fill entire FedEx and UPS aircraft when they go out, but they're still labelled and shipped as individual purchases, meaning, presumably, all the customs stuff is done somewhat individually... -- Bruce Johnson
