Did you ever get your B&W running again? Did you do a firmware update before putting in the G4 ZIF? The B&W can't use a G4 without it. Of course, if you didn't do that in the first place and you can't start up the machine, now, you're in a real bind. Here are some things to try. G3 If you did

I installed Fink once. Bad experience with it. Was on one of my early X installs, everything where the OS put it and Fink still couldn't find what it needed. If you can figure it out, I'd do what you need without Fink. Anything you can get through Fink commander, you can find on your own elsew
