Regarding installing AppleWorks 6 on OSX: You can't just take the OS9
AppleWorks 6 installer and install it on 10. If you have AppleWorks 6
installed on OS9 this is what you do to get it to run in OSX:
Simply drag folder from OS9 to your OSX applications folder and open it. I

Original LCD monitors have fluorescent backlights that burn out just
like any fluorescent bulb does. They can be replaced, and you may be

Not all gray OS X discs are for a specific system. I got a gray OS
10.4 (Tiger) DVD that was made for training purposes. It covered
whatever machines existing at the time that could take Tiger. It
didn't have any extras except for X11.

You have to install AppleWorks 6 in Classic if it's an original
AppleWorks disc prior to the 6.2 version, but then you use the 6.2.x
upgrader to "Carbonize" the app.

In the past I've had no problem making a bootable backup via firewire

Okay everybody,
I just ran my little tests and confirmed that you're all correct (Dan,
Bruce, Fabian, Ken, Clark) about AW 6 booting natively in OS X without
Classic.
Wow, I had no idea, but AW 6 stayed on when I shut down Classic, and
booted back up from "scratch" when I double clicked it in

From a podcast, I have some nice mp3 tracks. How do I move them from
the podcast category to the regular Music area? I don't when to get
lost, when I dump the podcast.
I tried doing an "add" on the mp3 file itself, after removing it from
the podcast, but it Knew. So it reappeared in the po

The "iTunes library" is just a small cataloging file and has no music
or music copies in it. It only keeps formatting informat

happily on my iMac G5 under OS 10.5.5, which does not support Classic
at all.

Yes both will work fine as will Classic.
It's 10.5 that

Hoping my Appleworks 6 will still function on 10.4. It's an OSX app,
but then so is PS7 and it doesn't work on the new iMac. So am not sure
exactly how this transition will go.
