The nice thing about those iMacs is they came with firewire. If you want to add a drive it would be faster and cheaper to buy an external case. You can even boot off of it, and it would run faster than the onboard ata. You also wouldn't have the heat problems, or the hard drive limits. -Jonas

I have been a happy G5 owner for a few years now(a 1.8, then a 1.8 Dual, now a dual core 2GHz) plus an assortment of G5's at work. Only issues have been a wonky video card ATI) and on the same machine the fans sounds like a turboprop taking off most of the day. Otherwise no issues.

All the screws necessary to take the PS out of my G4 2002 933 Mhz Quicksilver are phillips except one, and no phillips touches it, though it looks like a phillips. Is it a pozi drive? The slots are shallow and not beveled. What do I use to get this one fastener out? Thanks as always.
