It's not the processor, it's the implementation.
IBM is making huge quantities of PPC RISCs.
Sun is still making its RISCs.
Intel's CISCs are doing well.
And, perhaps the old

A year or so ago, Apple purchased a fab-less designer and
manufacturer of multi-core PPC processors.
It is conceivable that Apple may use PPC processors in some future
products, but the investment in Intel-ba

Could you provide a little more detail?
Will Apple return to PPC processors?
I experienced smoother Game Graphics on a 2 GHz G5 Mac with 256 MB of
VRAM,
than I had on a 2 GHz Intel Mac, with 256 MB of VRAM,
both my Macs have 2 GB of RAM.

My friends 1GHZ MDD isn't working. First safari randomly quits. So I did all
the updates and installed safari 4. So Safari seems to be working and I'm

Download the utility called 'Disk Inventory X' and run it on your OSX HDD.
It will tell you what is taking up space on your computer, and where it is.
Then you can delete whatever you dont need.

Thanks guys for the info! I got the PCI cards super cheap on our local
Craigslist... and I'd like to keep the original Mac AGP cards in them
since they have ADC ports for my Apple LCD monitor... so that's my
reasoning.
I'll flash them and give it a go. Thanks again.

If I'm not mistaken, I've read that the Smurf G3 can accept drives
natively up to 128 gigabytes - and these are not proprietary drives. So
any standard PATA IDE drive off the shelf (not SATA!) under that drive
size limit should work just fine. I can vouch personally for the cloning

Given the apparent age of the drives in question (a fast Google lookup
shows none of 'em as "currently available", hence they're older drives
and not currently in production) I'd say it's dang near a
