Well, it's an external drive, so moving that for backing up the 10.4 Mac
shouldn't be a big deal.
Very unlikely. The 4S will require the latest iTunes, which is not
available for 10.4, only 10.5 and up. Your only option's going to be
updating to 10.5, sorry.
