An Archive and Install upgrade doesn't sound like it results in a clean
install or am I missing something? I normally would just upgrade, but I am
experiencing some quirks on my Tiger system and I don't want them carried
over into Leopard.

rejecting all DVD's including - drum roll - my Leopard install DVD. My drive
is the one that came with the machine. System profiler reports that it is

Just came back from getting a lens cleaner (CD with brushes). I ran it
according to instructions, but it didn't help. Sigh.
I have also googled this issue and there were some posts stating that it
could be a clock battery? Are there other symptoms I would see if it were
the battery

Woops, forgot to ask - how do you reset the CUDA on a G5 single? I have
tried resetting the PRAM, but I am not sure what the CUDA is.

while ago that took care of this issue. It only crops up these days if I

GHz. The revs last for about fifteen seconds and then go away.
