A very interesting idea. I have been thinking about getting into Linux
and this may be the opportunity.
Which version of Ubuntu (or Fedora, maybe?) would run on a G4 PPC?
I'm game to give it a try, but would need to back up the disk that has
the problems first.

No they aren't. However, I like to have all of the software and "stuff"
that came with with whatever I buy.
I downloaded the drivers and the manual.
From what I read on your previous E-mail the "adapter cable" is pretty
standard.

It's a sawtooth Mac.
The page of information from AMD/ATI at the web site on lowendmac goes

and has 1 Gb of SDRAM.
