With the 5400/180s AND the 5500s ANY of the 4-slot-USB-cards I tried out caused troubles. On the other hand, any of the 2-slot works fine (about 10 $ U.S.). You can add a hub then - makes sense anyway, because the slots are on the back. These computers are limited to USB 1.1, AFAIK. Lars in Germa

Just the other way 'round; updating to 9 or 9.1 slowed down (603e/ev) machines VERY significantly. I recommend a 8.6 if you don't use iTunes or other apps requiring 9. OSX is slower (if it runs) on them enyway. With an iMac CRT/350MHz it's ... undescribable, unendurable. Lars --~--~-~-
