Don't know. I was using real Apple Airport 802.11g until 10.5.5, so
this was the first update since I moved on to 802.11n. I've had no
problems with my NetGear WN31
This might just be co-incidence (haven't yet tested it through multiple
restarts) but my InDesign CS3 (5.0.4) now hides on "apple-H", which has
always been a bugbear.
Maybe - just maybe - some of the other quirky-rather-than-fatal
conflicts 'twixt Leopard & InDesign CS3 might have been sorted.
Hi Kris;
Since you are getting so much help ;-)
Can you spot anything using a 'verbose' startup?

Something to report:
While the large 377 MB update worked fine on my PPC G5 PowerMac, the
two Intel MacBook Pros I updated with the 190 MB version faired worse.
One failed to reboot, stuck on the spinning thing, and required a
little maintenance before successfully rebooting to seeming

The update from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6 on my G4 PB 1.5GHZ was 190MB

Remember, I asked for the Combo Update, because I have quite a number
of systems of different levels, and because I inte

For me it was 190MB according to Apple Software Update.

Wondering if I should just move on into 10.5.6, having re-visited
trouble with 10.5.5, after a Nuke and Pave ... another (unanswered /

And for those of us poor souls who still depend on Classic apps,
don't have the MHz or the funds to go to 10.5, there is a Security
Update (2008-008, 72MB) that is out for 10.4.x.
Installed and there was only one rest

The available Combo Update, suitable for all platforms, is 669 MB.
It is my policy to download the Combo Update, and the

10.5.6 is available.
I used Software Update, it was 377 MB for my PPC G5. The MacBook Pro
Intel version was 190 MB.
I'm using a non-Apple 802.11n card (Netgear WN311B) that requires
patching with the bcm43xx_enabler_0.5.1pre.sh.zip to be recognized as
Airport. After the update I had no wir
