Hello, I am relativley new to the mac world. I have a used G4 MDD running 10.4.11. I was wondering if there are any diagnostic tools that a free that can check out the system to make sure everything is working properly. I mean I don't currently have anything to complain about or reason to think

Thanks Kris... 2 follow up questions. a) is there something similar for the OS as opposed to the hardware? b) I ran the AHT...but unsuccessfully. When I booted to the disk as instructed (nothing but my monitor, keyboard and mouse connected to the keyboard was plugged in) I received a screen th

Thanks Kris. The funny thing is that I don't have have any issues that I can see. Aside from the HD freeze when I was trying to format it everything else works as expected - especially since I removed the bad HD. I will give MemTest a try to check out the RAM. I do have plans to up the G4 to th
