Hi Katie,
Have you been to the forum on www.applevis.com? It contains something
close to what I'd imagine is pretty much every blind Mac user in the
world who's forum-savvy. Plenty of active discussion too. I don't
agree with all of their moderation decisions, but nevertheless it's a

Hi Katy.
that is very odd given that whitestick.co.uk has a hole page dedicated to
Apple in general and Mac in particular:

As I said not having a Mac myself I can't be certain on these, but I do know
whitestick.co.uk is pretty good on the resource lists (
I'll tell you how many forums for Mac users I have found. None. Mac
accessibility seems to be the least of everyone's concerns.

Hi Charlse.
Moon isn't exactly the embossing of print letters, it's raised symbols that
resemble print letters though there are differences.
I have seen it advertised occasionally, it's used especially for older
people who find braille or synth speech hard to learn but still want to

There are those that don't use a computer.
The easiest and lest expensive is audio mp3 or cd.
I don't think tape decks exist now but that was also an easy way to handle

I am not sure if anyone really reads braille these days.

Moon? Is that the embossing of print letters? I haven't seen that in ages!
Is it still used?

Hi Tom.
I think this debate has slightly wandered off the mark and got mixed up with
the "Is there still a use for braille" debate which obviously some people
like Charlse have very strong opinions on.
However this is fundamentally nothing to do with whether braille is or is
not any use in g
It would be cool if you could have it switch to a favorite weapon
instead of defaulting to the axe. I remember always thinking that.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. I'd say $200 per week sounds a lot
more like what a blind person on government benefits makes per week on
average in most countries. Although, I'm sure we all would like it if
we got $2,000 per week. Then, we'd be sitting pretty comfortable. LOL.
Cheers!

Hi Charles,
That is quite possible. As I recall in the late 90's a few game
developers were shipping copies of the magazine along with their games
as a form of distribution to get the magazine out there, and since
everything went online that practice stopped. So it is quite possible

Hi Dark,
I have been asking myself those same questions. I understand Charles

I stated in a prior post it is not going to work for everybody simply
because not everyone with a visual impairment reads braille. We have

I never said I wasn't interested in braille.

However ever since I graduated to a fully useable laptop I havn't
needed to use braille.

I am sure people still read braille.
Myself most of my work is electronic and audio I do still read for
recreational reasons at home.
I don't take it with me though due to weight and bulkyness but I
still read books in the traditional sence.
I havn't needed to use a machine for years though.

hmmm maybe but what about international distribution.
I guess if it got big enough you could pass it to blind organisation
libraries and or have this stuff as online subscription to pay for
shipping the pamphlets but even then.

Hi Josh,
There isn't a way to slow down the emulation that I am personally
aware of. Usually the program needs to be recompiled for a modern
processor in order to operate at the correct speed on a modern PC.

Hi everyone, I know this is a long standing bug, but when I finish a ctf

the zombies broke it, then the really frustrating part, the game switches t
Well good luck with that one.

many forums already exist for Vi mac users sinse I don't have one myself.
All the best,
