Hi Ari,
My point was that the PC versions of the games are more or less
accessible. You could run the PC (DOS) version of say Lord of the Rings
from
the command prompt in Windows XP.
BTW, there is also an interpreter somewhere on the if-archive calld
unquill. This interpreter can run games wri
Hi Phil,

Hi Tobias,
I've got the games, it's just finding an accessible interpreter! So far I've
tried about four without success.
Thanks for the link though, totally forgot about that wonderful site.

Hi Phil and Lisa,
I'll look at these, but would like if someone could also help me try them

Hi Raul,
These aren't z8, though, they're z80, they won't open with frotz. Speaking
of Text Adventures, is there an email list or group dedicated to them? I'm
just asking because they're not discussed much on the Audyssey list, which
is a great pity. The 2007 IF competition was held, and nearly
Most text adventure games I play these days are under Linux. It seems
that Linux has some of the best game intrepraters out, but not everyone
uses Linux on here.
Frotz is a good one for z5 and z8 games, and frob is good for tads
games. Scare is good for Adrift ones, and agil is good for agt gam
Hi all,
I've again found Lord of the Rings and Hobbit games, but again, I have a
problem with .z80 files, not being able to find an accessible interpreter or
emulator, could anyone please help? There must be someone on here who might
have tried spectrum games?
