I have no idea why you can't move, but in mission 1, the object is to
complete the mission without moving from your original position. You only
use your aiming and weaponry to sink the ships as they approach or pass in
front of you at different

Actually, on the first mission you shouldn't have to move at all. You
can quite easily destroy all of the ships by waiting for them to pass
in front of you, and let them take a few torpedoes each. I've even
killed some ships like the cargoships with the deckgun just by sitting
there and

In the first mission I had the enemy ship at s 33. I tried to pull my stick
to the two o'clock position and I couldn't move. Yes I was at least quarter
or half speed.
Can anyone tell me why I couldn't move?

after you go to whatever speed, you are moving.
you only really have to turn left and right and fire your engines being on and
your ship being in gear is enough.
