Matt,
I may create a test environment to try out 2.6.0. Solaris is still my #1
platform for running gmond while gmetad and the web frontend run on Linux. I
understand that the rrds won't be compatible across the releases. Is an rrd
migration script still in the works?

It's worse then that actually. I haven't sucessfully run 2.6 on FreeBSD
yemi-
i'm currently using 2.6.0 to monitor a distributed test bed
(http://www.planet-lab.org/). the monitoring page is at
http://planetlab.millennium.berkeley.edu/
i've found it to be stable however i'm not really using the unicast
feature right now (although i may try it as a test soon).

I guess this message is directed to Matt Massie since he appears to be the
driving force behind the new 2.6.0 features. I've been reading through Matt's
previous emails describing the features in 2.6.0 and I'm pleased.
The most important change for me is the ability to specify unicast channels.
