Same here, send_metadata_interval has been set to 0 thoughout, it's the default setting. I've tried other versions of centos (5.5, 5.6, and 5.7) as well. -ls -- All the data continuously generated in your IT

Thanks for taking the time to help Vladimir! The only working line in my gmetad.conf is: data_source compute localhost:8649 f1:8649 everything else is default and commented out. I took your suggestion and am now using a single channel, 8649, but the behavior is the same. So then just in case

I've been able to partially trackdown why my nodes are only reported as up for ~6 minutes before going down on the web interface- it looks like gmond stops receiving multicast and unicast messages. Restarting gmond on the “gatherer node” re-establishes listening for about 6 minutes, then gmond
