Well dont forget.. Cincy had just lost their coach to Notre Dame right before

I'm not sure where all this hate for Mullen comes from. Yes, he relied too much
on Tebow and Harvin, but most of the time it worked. He also came up with some
brilliant play calls: the jump pass, the Tebow rocker step, the play right
before the half against OSU where Tebow took a step towards
I recall many of Maurkice Pouncey's snaps being low.

You're right. In the end, we won it all, and did more than "just get by." Admit
it, though. You'd like to see something like 1995 Nebraska where we just
steamroll everybody, wouldn't you? :-)

I don't know if I would say we did just fine with Leak. Yes, we won a national
championship with him, but for that entire year, excepting Ohio State, we just
scraped by. I recall many people saying that Leak didn't fit the offense and
couldn't wait until Tebow would take over fulltime.

I would imagine the scripted offense works because the offensive coaches spot
some weakness during the week and exploit it until the opposing defensive
coaches adjust. When they do, you won't be able to keep calling the same plays.
You see this type of thing all the time. The 2005 Georgia game

This is the first I've heard of this. I thought it was a wrist injury. Anybody
have any more info?

It was subtle. Richt was scratching his nose using a strategic finger. Here's a
page with some pictures. It wasn't photoshopped; I saw it happen, and remember
thinking the same thing as Andreu at the time.

One more thing about Fisher before I let this go. He has produced some decent
college QBs. Not great QBs, but pretty good. Until he proves otherwise, that's
his level of competence.

Count me as another who never understood all the infatuation with Fisher. Sure
he could beat you and make you look silly if he out-talented you, but if the
other team had equal or better talent, he couldn't produce. In my mind, he
never passed the criteria for a great coach: the old Bear Bryant-
The problem they've had the last several years and continue to have is that
their classes are top-heavy. They get a few great players, but no depth behind
them. This past year they got Jeff Luc, Lamarcus Joyner, Christian Jones, and
maybe a couple other players, but no one else all that awe-insp
