if a checkpoint command with a delay != 0 parameter is hit
in any of the gem5 processes then a checkpoint is taken immediately across all
participating gem5 instances.

of NPB suite in your evaluation, do you have some
insight about why some test cases could not finish successfully and a list of
those applications?
Thanks.

Hi,
Which kernel version are you using? Could you send your linux console output?
(By default it is in m5out/system.terminal).

Hi George,
If you only need 4 little CPUs, try to use the armv8_gem5_v1_4cpu.dtb DTB file
instead (or the equivalent armv8_gem5_v1_big_little_4_0.dtb).

Hi Boyang,
dist-gem5 defines a unique hostname for each simulated system as a convenience
for the user. It is not obligatory, you can use IP addresses directly instead
of hostnames. dist-gem5 does not require DNS.

Hi Richard,
I would suggest you to try to run the same MPI app on a single simulated system
first to see if it is a dist-gem5 specific issue or not. Simply use vanilla
gem5 instead of dist-gem5 with exactly the same configuration (e.g. gem5 flags,
kernel, disk image, etc.). You will need to re
s not work either.
I would be grateful if anyone can provide some direction on this. Thanks.

Hi,
A fix for this issue has just been posted on the gem5 reviewboard :
https://gem5-review.googlesource.com/c/public/gem5/+/18910. The fix simply
removes the assertion. Please give it a try!
Cheers,
