Sorry... I missed this last week. Apache Subversion did not move old releases onto ASF hardware until after we graduated. At that point, we moved them directly onto archive.a.o/dist/subversion. They are not ASF releases, but they are useful from an archival standpoint. We certainly had an advantag

Hi Stian, Thanks for the feedback. We are committed to moving towards Apache community-friendly licensing as documented on http://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html#category-x I've added this to our Roadmap: https://github.com/airbnb/airflow/wiki/Roadmap and I expect to tackle it during the incuba

That'd be great to allow different transaction frameworks to plug into Phoenix. I suspect that transactions are in the same boat as secondary indexing with a one-size-fits-all approach not being feasible across the variety of use cases we see. Having a pluggable mechanism would be a good solution.

Hi Pierre, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I remember Trafodion, but since it is more complete solution of SQL + Transaction, I did not mention it as comparisons. But the comment is valid, meaning there were already prior acts about Transaction support for NoSQL in Apache, so no reason to "reject" or

There is a sorta technical reason for the Champion to be a member of the PMC of the sponsor. I’d expect the Champion to subscribe to the private@ list and to have binding votes on podling releases. These both require PMC membership. The alternative is to create two different “exceptions” that

Thank you all for your comments and guidance. Based on this thread, the plan is: Add a download sub-page to http://madlib.incubator.apache.org/ This download page will list the MADlib ASF (incubating) releases which are downloadable from Apache infra. For pre-ASF releases, we clearly indicate t

Airflow sounds like an interesting workflow project! You will need to review the licenses of dependencies - some of them are not compatible with ASF policy [1], e.g. https://pypi.python.org/pypi/psycopg2 is LGPL, which is not permitted. (I didn't check all of them) You may be able to work arou

Hi, I've worked on the Distributed Transaction Manager that is now part of Trafodion for years. I have a vested interest in the DTM and in the Trafodion project's success, but I'm not opposed to adding additional/competing transaction managers to into incubation. Ultimately, I think it will buil
