Apache Linkis(incubating) is also an option for a multi-tenant REST gateway
for big data engines.
Linkis builds a computation middle-ware layer to decouple the upper
applications and the underlying data engines, provides standardized
interfaces (REST, JDBC, WebSocket etc.) to easily connect to var
Hi Larry,
Already sent several messages about Livy to try to revive the podling
and eventually move forward to the graduation.
Unfortunately, I didn't have feedback. So, imho, it will be hard to
build a community (especially contributors) around Livy. That's why,
IPMC are discussing about retirin
Haven't seen any additional movement on this thread.
Just curious whether anyone has considered a graduation into an existing
TLP like Spark which would be very appropriate.
Interesting and well stated post on the need for Livy here:

I would be willing to join livy as a committer and mentor in a reboot if
there is interest.

Apache Kyuubi (Incubating)[1] is an option, it's a distributed and
multi-tenant gateway to provide serverless SQL on lakehouses.

Hi,
AFAIR, a report has been submitted since. Report on cwiki doesn't mean
it's the last send, we should check in the incubator board report.
It's true that Livy is a "stable" project and kind of "mature"
podling. IMHO, it should have graduated to TLP.
As said, I tried to restart podling activit
Hi community!
I see that the project is losing interest from the community, however it is
a project widely used by companies (I know personally). It is a pity that
the project may die.
In my opinion one of the first actions to take is to recreate the reports
correctly (Podling reports). I have se
Hi,
You are right, I tried to bring Livy podling back to active. We had
few PRs/contributions and I also worked on reload4j switch and so on.
If the activity around the code is low, there are few. Unfortunately,
the mailing list is pretty quiet.

There seem to have been a couple of initiatives to reboot the podling and
make it healthy again but without much success.
What are other mentors' thoughts?
