It seems very useful, and I've only view it briefly [so I am no expert] but
wouldn't it be better if classes/packages known or
giving people some simple instructions to follow. We're all
interested in versioning, and run into the same problems you have; it's
really a matter of documenting a procedure people can follow, and that
we can point to if missed.
