Hi there!
I got the unix latest snapshot 3.2.4 and trying to compile it!
when compiling unconv-alias.c, gcc said that it could not found
unconv-8bit.h!. I checked in the include's directory, that header
file was not there really!
is this an error or wrong configure ?!
Please help me!

I'm trying to build php 4.1.2 with mnogosearch-1.49 extension module
using CVS version of mnogosearch (dated 05.04.2002).
However, I get the following error when trying to build php extension module:

aieee, this is bad news for me :( Currently I'm using 3.2.3
which is obviously buggy because indexer dies with segfaults.
CVS version indexer works smoothly, but I need PHP interface as well.
I have also tried to use database generated by CVS version
mnogosearch with 3.2.3 installation,

You may distinguish indexer in your index.php3 by user agent name, it is UdmSearch
(will be MnogoSerch since 3.2.4 version), and give to indexer other content with
ordinary links to pages for indexing.

Ok I will use the (user agent=UdmSearch) as switch for calling the JSP or not. But,
what about other indexers which would like to index our website, such as yahoo, etc.
Is there anyway to indentify these in a general way that you know of?

Each crawler has it own user agent name. I don't know any common way to distinguish
browsers and crowlers.

Same problem here.
Seems it only make a 'robots' entry to mnogosearch/url
Don't index anything else though
3.2.3 works, but I had to backout to use the perl module.

I've just compiled the snapshot (3.2.4) successfully! Then I
configured 'em to work with mysql (I had done this with 3.2.3
without any problem). When i ran Indexer, it said Unsupported SQL
database type ???
My box run Redhat 7.2 with

Looks like it indexes everything in the immediate path, but goes nowhere after that.
I've tried every possible configuration option, but it won't traverse directories.

To select template you should set ntmpl parameter for search.exe
for example, if you want to use template with ID=4
search.exe?ntmpl=4...
usually we add to template line like this:
INPUT TYPE=hidden NAME=ntmpl VALUE=4

The problem is that template has no pointers to database directory.
I think you should do Search-tab/Templates/Adjust on your template.
It will automatically set all necessary parameters to template.
