Is 3.1.17 cachemode file format compatible with 3.1.10?

2001-07-02 Thread hanksdc
I'm looking to possibly upgrade from 3.1.10 to 3.1.17. Are the cachemode formats between these two versions compatible? (I'm not using phrase search, and not planning to...) I haven't been following this list lately so I just want to make sure before I go ahead. Some of our latest stats:

No indexers are running, and I have restarted the cachelogd. Same results. Zenon told me that upgrading to 3.1.11 or 3.1.12 fixed the problem for him, so I may try that. -- Dan On Thu, 17 May 2001, Alexander Barkov wrote: [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I saw this question posted back in

Problems deleting urls with 3.1.10

2001-05-16 Thread hanksdc
I saw this question posted back in February, but I didn't see that an answer had been given. I'm using 3.1.10 with cachemode, with about 6.4 million urls indexed. I'm trying to delete a set of urls that match a certain pattern but when I attempt to do so I get the following: indexer -C -u

Unfortunately I don't think there's really an easy way to get all .nl domains. You'll have to assemble some sort of list to feed to the indexer to get it going. -- Dan Hanks On Mon, 26 Mar 2001, Doos wrote: Author: Doos Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message: hi all, i commented out the

Make cache tree location run-time configurable?

2001-03-22 Thread hanksdc
What are the possibilities of making the location of the cache tree a run-time configuration item for cachemode (rather than something configured at build time)? What I mean, is rather than using UDM_VAR_DIR in files.c, cache.c, search.c and in a few other spots, why not make it something

Compatibility between 3.1.10 and 3.1.12 cachemode

2001-03-22 Thread hanksdc
Just a simple/stupid question: What compatibility issues with cachemode exists between 3.1.10 and 3.1.12? Currently I have about 7 million urls spidered with 3.1.10. I'm _not_ using phrase search. Are there any other imcompatibilities between the two versions? Thanks for any input. -- Dan
