Yes I have. I use the DRM drivers in kernel 2.6.17,
not the separate ebuild which is recommended in the
HOWTO because it works and it's easier to update if
it's in kernel.

As best I know, what happened is that xorg-7.2 is very similar to 7.1, a
bugfix release with only some files
