Hi,
I recently ran "emerge --update world". After doing
so, I ran etc-update to update the config files, and
used the -3 options to automerge.
After reboot, my screen resolution changed and now
everything's too big. Any ideas how to change the
resolution back to 1024x768?

Nevermind. sys-apps/ddcxinfo-knoppix gave me what I
needed.

Any ideas why?

Sorry about the ambiguity. Windows won't open. All I
can see is my background. The bar at the bottom won't
display. Nothing works at all. I can't really
describe anything more than that. I'm just trying to
see if someone else has had these problems.

Hi,
How do you allow two programs to play sound at the
same time? For instance I'm playing mp3s on Xmms, and
then I get an instant message. The sound of the
instant message won't go off until I stop playing the
mp3.
Thanks

The second question is, does anyone else have trouble
getting control-center to compile? From the error it
appears like something with GnomeVFS. I have no idea
though.
I included the error that I see below.
Thanks

there wasn't a problem.
