I hava a file boot.ftp, and in the manual of the software it says copy
boot.ftp to /temp and unzip it to /temp
Now, how can I unzip this file? Simply unzip boot.ftp won't work at

Hi, for some reason I forgot to mount /proc before doing emerge system
on a fresh gentoo install.
Is there any way to force emerge to get and recompile the whole thing
agagin? Since some packages seem to fail to compile due missing /proc...

I still have a gnome issue - on my laptop (toshiba s. 3000-214) I use
acpi build as modules. The modules ac, battery are loaded on boot. The
battstat applet (2.4.0) shows the correct battery status, but doesn't
seem to recognize weather ac is pluged in or not. Any ides anybody?
