Did you to env-update and then source /etc/profile?

I had KDE 3.1 installed and upgraded it via emerge -u world. Since then,
I can't use KDE 3.1 anymore. As soon as the splash Screen has finished,
I get the error message "Could not start process Unable to create

I have tried to re-emerge
