You have to run emerge -av1 ncurses. This fixes the problem.

You don't have to mount it for the use with vmware. Update your vmx file with
the following:
ide1:0.fileName = "changeme.iso"
ide1:0.deviceType = "cdrom-image"

I had a similar problem some months ago. I can't remember all the details, but

Good luck.
Or you can try 2.6.15-suspend2.

Did you import your settings from an older OO version? I had that issue with the binary version upgrading from 1.x. So I did a clean
install with the source code version.

Which kernel were you using before the new kernel install. I did also have some problems when i upgraded from 2.6.13 to 2.6.14. Check
that your kernel config is correct. In my case the config hasn't been correct.

It is recommended to do an emerge -e system after that.
I do always:
emerge -e system
revdep-rebuild
emerge -e system

Have you installed mod_proxy on your server? If so you may be
vulnerable. But I do not know how to reconfigure the proxy.
You should scan your web logs after connect attempts. If they return
HTTP 400, there is no problem you have to care about. But there might be
other opinions on that issue. :)
