Basicly, you dont have a chance - 2.6.30 is incompatible with legacy vmware. Each vmware version builds against only a restricted range of kernels, and usually lags a few versions behind even with the latest. Your choices are: 1. downgrade the kernel to something compatible with your vmware versi
