I have 'war dumped' (ie - no configuration) a 2.1.2 (stable) and a trunk
snapshot on the one machine, [geoserver.war and geoserver-trunk.war], and I am
having issues with geowebcache (GWC) forcing one instance to stop.
By default - nothing is setup, and the GWC is picking up the other g

Check the size and open in a viewer the index shapefiles that the extension
creates (especially 0.shp). If it's really small and doesn't open, you
could be running into a file number limit.

thinking, a few things:
-1- can you check if you have the sibling files that you mention here
above in all the pyramid directories?
-2- can also brab and pass along the geoserver log file?
-3- what is the full path of the dir where all the files reside?

this is probably related to the Pyramid plugin not able to move the
existing files into the 0 directory.
Question, is the 0 directory empty at the end of the process? Which OS
are you using?

thanks, it looks like this project is similar to gsrcj.
So I can use either gsrcj or geoserver-manager.
