I am finally looking at upgrading our GS from 2.5.5 to 2.11. In the
past I have always backed-up the geo_dir, dropped the .war file into
Tomcat, and restarted the service. Is there anything more to it than
that? Any issues I should be aware of?

polygon data originally digitized on Google Earth with longitude values

I also couldn't get the library mode to work as described (or at least
how I understand it), but I did get it to work by putting all of the
layers/styles within the SLD_BODY. Most of the layers use a named
style, but the layer spr_ms_... uses a UserStyle.
