I need to create an ArcSDE direct Connect in Geoserver. I have followed the

Thanks for your reply. Maybe it's really not a practicable way to create a
direct connect to ST_GEOMETRY data via ArcSDE.
As the user manual of every version shows, it is possible to get a direct
connect. I've no idea if anyone has an experience of doing it successfully.

As my data is stored in oracle as ST_GEOMETRY, I have no choice but to
create a direct connect . Now maybe I should give up as it seems that it's
not readily supported in the Open Source world.

How can I get ArcSDE 10.x SDK for Java? I can't download it from anywhere.
I wonder if I should ask for ESRI distributer to pay for it .
