Shall we toast the unsupported/postgis and move over to h2? I am all for
the "svn mv postgis2 h2" command - at the very least this would give us
a replacement for hsql and perhaps if the idea was something new (and
not in competition with an exiting datastore) it would go over better.

I've had a quick skim over this project and it seems to address a
similar use to the data objects provided by http://geotools.org data
objects and http://geoapi.sf.net . (Both implemented in Java - although
I think the GeoAPI project aims to be a cross language API).

into the coverage_devel module pom.xml files.
