Thanks, Kevin. In my view, a beta release is fine as a dependency for a
GS RC or even a full release. Anything that is a release and not a
snapshot has a well-defined and repeatable content. A beta release is
perfectly respectable. :-)
Not to mention that we (and I) made stable releases includ
Yeah, the only change since I released the 1.5 beta is an update to the
release instructions. Given that, I suppose an RC1 release isn't strictly
necessary as it would be nothing but making a bunch of jar files with a
different version number, and that one modified text file. I'm happy to
leave
Deploy GeoTools to maven, and then Kevin can make GWC, and just hold off
announcing GeoTools until we have an all clear.
Kevin I am not sure anything has changed in GeoWebCache recently?

Oh good, right, forgot about it. I'll try to complete GeoTools first then,
it's all you

implemented yet. At the moment, each authentication filter has the burden
to handle the login for the root user.
Your understanding of the issue is correct.
I would be happy to have a constant URI for the root login a

Hi Christian,
I thought this issue was addressed previously with the idea of a constant
filter chain, one that the user could not take away through
misconfiguration. Is that not he case?
The idea sounds reasonable but i want to make sure i understand the issue.
