+1.
I take it that this change will only be applied to master? I have added
an "Assigned to Release" section for "GeoTools 20" and updated the
Template to match. This practice matches GeoServer GSIPs.
Kind regards,
Ben.

Hi Eric,
we discussed it at today's PSC meeting, I'm going to propose the 4 spaced
one (for official vote), the bulk of the
core devs are used to it, and for a very long time.

Hi Jody,
To be honest, I'm not too worried about merging order.
As a bit more info, I ended up having forks of GeoDB, Jai-ext, and
Jaitools in order to build GeoTools (and GeoWebCache and GeoServer).
Given that 1) I haven't pushed those projects to have a JTS 1.15.0
release, 2) we don't

Jim you have a couple branches for JTS 1.15.0 upgrade, we are considering
whitespace reformat.
Are you interested in submitting these before the whitespace?

Hi Nuno,
last time a new type of filter was in this commit:
https://github.com/geotools/geotools/commit/47e9259d74482b92244b4dd301363b434e382baf
Thankfully now there are default methods, allowing for quite a bit less
painful extension.
Overall I see where this need comes from and agree with it,
Hi all,
Indeed the 4 spaces tab is better and I can live with the other changes,
I doubt we will ever found a format that will make everyone happy :P
So in practice:
1. we would run this once
2. then run a check for each build
3. developers will have two ways of applying this style:
1.
I'm training today so I will not be able to join the meeting.
