Of course capturing the essence file from the broadcaster is the best
approach from speed and quality point of view.
I was the one that recommended using Audacity. Using the analogue
hole is always a last resort, when time and expertise is limited

using Audacity in passing since that is what I was using (and failing
with). I also tried Streaming Star HiDownload and StreamTransport even
Orbit but they all failed too. That was when I decided to risk posting
