one idea my associate and i thought of was trying to
get the ASCII part of the gimp file that describes a
certain file's properties. this was nice in thoery but
not apllicable (binary file).

i tried creating an animated GIF file in my windows
version of the GIMP, BUT it didn't recognize the
format. when i went to school it worked fine on a
linux version...
is this an all windows versions problem or just on my
computer?

i'd like to know how i can draw a diagram with
straight lines and boxes with gimp. i've searched
around but the closest i could get was how to draw
pixels with paint brush - this doesn't help me much
when trying to make lone straight li
for the letters to be bumped
up into the above layer, you can reverse this so that
the letters seem to be pressed into the above picture.
that might be the look your looking for. if so, in the
bumpmap dialog box click the invert option.

Hi there GIMP users,
I'd like to know if there is a way to create or
manipulate 3D pictures (not adding layers but actually
changing the picture). Some examples would be to
change a part of a ball or a parabuloid.
Any suggetions??
