Hi,
many of us suffer from incompatibilities of recent Gimp versions with
previous versions.
Is there any list of suggestions how to replace these.
Sometimes the header files suggests replacements but not in all cases,
e.g.
gimp_drawable_detach

Just looking at my kubuntu Gimp 2.8.22 installation and for some reason the
'buntu package does not include the file-jp2-load plugin. Why, I do not know. It
is there in ealier versions and is there in Gimp 2.10 flatpak.

section of the circle, then link the end points of the "bump-out"

So, I click on the quick mask tool (or whatever you call it), and then I open
the Brushes "pane", select a brush, but cannot size it unless I then open the
tool options "pane". That actually worked once. Now I get nothing when I click
