Hi Tejas,
Just to confirm, from the server vol file from your previous post,
you are not even using any performance translators on the server side,
is that correct ?

That makes no difference with either only write-behind translator or all
of default translator configurated by genvol. Without it, results are
abt 10 times worse.

I am about to migrate to GlusterFS but I'm experiencing some possible

Hi -
I'm experiencing strange results when comparing the same setup on either
Debian/Lenny and Ubuntu/Hardy.
The server is composed of two replicated nodes (both with Debian/lenny
with GlusterFS 3.0.3, 1GbE).
Config files were generated with the following options:
glusterfs-volgen --name s
.

I already have an NFS server in production which shares Web data for a
4-node Apache cluster. I'd like to switch to GlusterFS.
Do I have to copy the files from the NFS storage to a GlusterFS one,
or may it work if I just install Gluster
o the existing storage directory (assuming, of course, the
NFS server is shuuted down and not used anymore), then ls -lR?
Thanks,

Hi -
Is there a way to re-balance files over the whole glusterfs storage
(v3.0.x) when a new distributed volume is added to the existing ones?
Thanks in anticipation for any pointers.
