Is there a specific mailing list to join for help with the program (as
opposed to development)?

Not as far as I know. The developers are all in this one, so if you
_can_ get help, you'll get it here.. ;-))

Nope. This is the only list right now, so you should just ask here.
However, and I presume I speak for most, sometimes I'm just too busy
to answer. One of the best
Hi,
Trying to get GnuCash installed... right now, I've been "fighting" with
XmHTML... before I contact the author, is it just me (highly likely);
or has anyone else had problems compiling it...?
I'm not even past the first make... my steps so far are:
Version 1.1.7:
1. XmHTML.cf:17
From the GnuCash FTP server, I tried out 1.2.5-1 as an RPM - it would not
let me exit the program. So then I tried out 1.2.1-1 which lets me close
the program successfully. I am running RedHat 6.1 I am using lesstif

exporting needs.

If you have installed guile, you already have a complete Scheme
system. That's what guile is - a Scheme interpreter designed for

Ok. Thanks.
slib works fine with guile. As well as the slib documentation, you

What about just providing the ability to save the html to a file?
After that, you can do anything you like with it, including convert
it to html using whatever converter you prefer.
Yeah, that'll do nicely.
If I have time, I'll send in a patch tonight.

Greetings,
In one of my accounts in GnuCash, the running balances displayed in the
register are completely divorced from the values of the splits
displayed. The interline differences do not correspond to the split
amounts, and occasionally don't match -any- transaction I've enterred.
The guile tarball I got has no such file and the slib docs don't say anything
about guile. Given that all I want to do is run gnucash and don't
particularly care about doing anything fancy with guile/slib, can I just
copy the scm files someplace where guile will find them? or do I need to
