Oh, you're on a MAC! i bet if you look you'll see ...lib/libgnc-backend-file.dylib instead of .so -- right? I wonder if GModule is broken such that it doesn't use the proper shared object ending.. Something that changed recently is that chris changed the way these QOF backends are loaded.
