Just downloaded the 'new' 1.3.7, installed and booted. First thing I noticed - the "open" icon on the toolbar is gone Now to open an account file, I have to click on 'file' and then 'open' (or use the keyboard - but then I can never remember which keystroke

I can appreciate the reasoning. If we are voting I still vote to restore the 'open file' icon. I never found the two icons confusing - let the mouse dwell for a few seconds and the icon explanation box pops open with the explanation of the icon, thus even first time users can easily tell

I vote that the open icon stays gone. I found it potentially confusing, and I never used the open file button. BTW, when I installed GNUCash, I created a GNOME menu item for it, and added the name of my database as a command line argument, thus completely removing the need to open a file
