these reports are using the PriceDB at all. Now, I can’t recall what the
explanation was, and I *still* don’t see why the Price DB is accessed to create
a report for transactions in which the price has been already s

While it may be, strictly speaking, unnecessary to create currency-specific
expense accounts, it may yet be useful to do so. For example, if you maintain a
bank account in one currency, and a second bank account in a different
currency, you may wish to track ongoing expenses entirely
Stockdump.pl isn't misinterpreting anything. You can pass it multiple symbols
and it prepends the symbol to each message so that you know which message goes
with which symbol.
It seems unlikely that it's a DNS issue, but you could take the laptop

Hello,
I've just started using Gnucash. In the past I've used a basic
bookkeeping package, but it's no longer available. I'm trying to keep
two sets of books... one for personal accounting and one for a
corporation. I'm running Version 3.4 Build ID: 3.4+ (2018-12-30) on
Windows 7; I've set

Thanks for your help and patience!
I did just that and updated Net::HTTP, as well as LWP, Date::Manip and
Finance::Quote again. All of them are confirmed up to date now.
But calling …/stockdump.pl still yields an "internal server error” 500:

I didn't and I don't.
A user named Steven Butler made one for GnuCash 3.4, I think mostly as an
exercise to see if he could. I don't know if he'll do that again for GnuCash
3.5.

Hi John,
I don't recall whether you created the GNC build for Ubuntu. If so, do you have
plans to create a v3.5 Ubuntu build?
Thanks!

Yes, the question is what are the thoughts of the gnucash

I see that apart from the gnucash.org domain, someone has registered a
domain gnucash.net ... can anyone use the gnucash for their own
second-level domain ? That might be confusing to someone who is
looking for gnucash, especially in the case of a well-established
top-level domain.

Interesting. That could be a bug. I know that certain transactions do not
get learned as quickly as others, and perhaps some, like your example,
possibly never, but it is worth investigating, especially since the
Bayesian matching was recently changed. I would suggest submitting a bug
report and

I had an "Opening Balance" sub-account under Equity. I haven't touched
it, but I recently noticed the account has disappeared from my account
tree. When looking at the accounts homepage, the money is still on the
Equity account line. But when I click the triangle to view

Thanks for the hint, David. But its more broken than that. Many/most of my
imports match correctly. The groceries one has been manually assigned
dozens or hundreds of times and the match algo always fails. Do any of the
parameters in the preferences make a difference?

Hi Guys,I have been using GnuCash since 2011. However, it is a whilesince I
have upgraded the version and I am not sure which version I amcurrently using.

I haven’t started a new file since 3.2 but that used to be an option when doing
so. It could be done later if not in the startup wizard. Perhaps choosing the
business account s template set the preference for you.

Not mentioned previously is the fact that you can tell gnucash to move a
scheduled transaction from a weekend day to the day prior or following, without
manual intervention. That might help...
